We are pleased to announce that travel stipends are available, sponsored by:

Clark University and the journal Economic Geography – 5 stipends of £500 each, with preference for PhD students or early career scholars and/or those from the Global South.
Environment and Planning A – 3 stipends of £500 each, with preference for PhD students or early career scholars and/or those travelling from outside Europe
Geoforum/Elsevier – 1 stipend of £500, with preference for PhD students or early career scholars travelling from outside Europe and/or PhD students or early career scholars planning on using their conference paper as part of a special issue from the conference, to be published by Geoforum. The award will be given to the most innovative or original abstract.
Economic Geography Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) – 1 stipend of £300 for a UK-based PhD student or a UK-based early-career scholar (within 3 years of PhD)

HOW TO APPLY

Applications consisting of (1) a cover letter, explaining your motivation and intended contribution to the conference, (2) abstract of the paper to be presented at the conference, and (3) curriculum vitae should be sent to gceg2015@ouce.ox.ac.uk by March 21st, 2015. Applications will be considered jointly for all of the above stipends, so there is no need to send multiple applications. Applicants will be informed about the outcome by 30 April 2015. Stipends will be disbursed to awardees during their stay at the conference.
